Summary:Join Doyle Davidson and others ministering with power in word and in song.
Doyle begins sharing today about a time in 1972, after having moved back from south Florida to Texas, God locked him in a Holiday Inn in Denton, Texas for 10 weeks. He couldn’t buy property, he couldn’t lease it, although he had plenty of money to do both. God said, “You’re going to get the book of Romans in your heart.” Doyle continues with how he ended up setting on a poolside every afternoon in the heat studying the first 5 Chapters of the book of Romans.
Doyle started out preaching the gospel in the same building he ministers out of today in 1981. He would begin in Mark 1 where Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand, repent ye, and believe the gospel. (Mark 1:14-15) . One day, 20 years later, a man walked into the building and stated to Doyle how in twenty years he hadn’t changed his message. Doyle responded, “Yes I know that, and I’m not going to. It’s the message Jesus preached, and the message that this ministry preaches.”
Following, Doyle goes on to share what happens the first night he speaks to a room full of mostly Rhema and ORU students and graduates after God sends him to Tulsa, Oklahoma in June 1986; and the instructions God gave after saying to him, “I want you to show them how a pastor preaches.”
