The Effectual Fervent Prayer of a Righteous Man

Join Doyle Davidson and Paul Peters today as Doyle speaks about the law not being made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient.

[Travail in Birth Again]
Doyle shares how the people that he had preached the gospel to had all stopped believing, and gone back under the law, falling from grace, thus bringing the curse of the law upon themselves because of their disobedience. Doyle continues by saying he will not stop travailing for you, so that Christ be formed in you again.

Galatians 4:19
My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you…

When the power of darkness came upon the ministry, those that were kept, were kept by Doyle’s prayers. And all have been kept by Doyle’s prayers from going any further into sin as the Lord told Doyle one day.

Doyle says, “...I never stopped praying for you...”

James 5:16
….. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

[Learning About Curses]
Although Doyle was a veterinarian, a successful one, and one who specialized in the equine (horses); he was to do a simple procedure one day on a dog, one he was most confident in doing. Doyle had given the dog a very safe anesthetic, and the dog wouldn’t wake up following the surgery. Doyle continued to use every pharmaceutical, ones he had been successful with at restoring breathing, but still the dog could not be revived. He prayed, alot, but the dog died. He was greatly disturbed. Doyle went on to call the owner and let him know. The man stated how that was alright, he had never had a dog that hadn’t died from some tragedy. The Lord was teaching Doyle about curses.

Read About It:

1970  Commandment to Pray for America:

In 1970 I had sold my veterinary hospital and my practice along with it, 121 Veterinary Hospital just west of U.S. 75 in Collin County, where we are at now, where I’ve been since 1963, and I had a farm in Missouri and I went there and worked on my farm. In June, 1970 I was in Chicago Illinois at the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International meeting; there was a huge crowd and a man read 1 Timothy chapter 2. As he read it I could see that God wanted me to pray for America. I didn’t need money, I wasn’t sick, I was young, healthy and strong; now I’m young healthy and strong, amen, and I started that day. God put it in my heart, “Pray for your country.” I had some political contacts and I knew something about the corruption of the United States of America; now you don’t have to have me tell you.

1 Timothy 2
1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
