Wisdom Revealed as Jesus in Proverbs 8

Summary:

Join Doyle Davidson and Paul Peters on set today as Doyle speaks about what God taught him while living in Argyle, and how it was revealed that Jesus had prayed for him.

It was the summer of 69 when God directed Doyle to sell his veterinary practice and hospital. On January 2, 1970 Doyle obeyed God and sold. He had no idea what he was going to do, but he was learning to trust the Lord, and hear his voice. January 1971, God gave Doyle a vision, and went on to tell him he was getting ready to get in deep water; don’t look to the right, don’t look to the left, and don’t listen to any man or you’ll drown. Doyle had been a successful veterinarian, and sold all in obeying God, now God told him don’t listen to any man. It was now 1972, he wasn’t about to listen to anyone, he knew he could hear God.

Argyle, 1972-1976
The Spirit of God put Doyle in Argyle, Texas. While there, God taught him out of 1 Corinthians, Proverbs 8, and John 17, and a whole host of other scriptures. In Proverbs 8, God taught Doyle, revealing to him, that Proverbs 8 talked about Jesus and the Father.

Paul Peters reads from Proverbs 8.

Concluding, Doyle says, “If you want to know something about Jesus take Proverbs 8 and just set and pray, study, consider, and humble oneself, and watch what comes out of that chapter.”

Paul Peters continues reading from 1 Corinthians 1:24-31, with those scriptures Doyle said, proved to him that Proverbs 8 was talking about Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:30
But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Doyle goes on to continue in speaking about the man Jesus.

While Doyle was living in Argyle between 1972-1976, the Lord gave Doyle a revelation of his prayer that’s prayed in John 17.

Paul Peters reads from John 17.

John 17:
19: And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

20: Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;..

“The ones that believe through their words that spoken, he prayed for us…”

Doyle saw that Jesus had prayed for him, with that he knew he was going to make it out of Argyle.

Doyle goes on to say, “Understand something. He prayed that we be sanctified….”

There’s a condition Doyle says; “You have to believe the word that that 120 delivered. There was about 120 after 3 to 3 ½ years, Jesus on this earth, and he prayed for them. But he prayed for us, that would believe their words.”
